5th Grade Teacher
My name is Maureen Markules, and I am excited to join the Saint Patrick community, and thrilled to have the opportunity to teach the fifth graders at St. Patrick’s next year! I spent 12 years as a student in the Diocese of Grand Rapids, and my four children have also grown up in the Catholic School System. I have seen firsthand the importance of a Christ Centered Education. I am looking forward to guiding my students next year as they grow in their faith and hope to inspire in them a love of God and service to others.
Prior to working at Saint Patrick’s I have been a middle school Science and Math teacher in the Catholic Schools, taught Reading Intervention to 3rd-5th graders, and most recently have been teaching Technology classes to grades K-8 at Assumption School in Belmont.
In my spare time I like being outdoors with my family-camping, kayaking, and hiking. I also enjoy watching my children’s sporting events and activities.
I look forward to working with the 4th and 5th graders next year and know that God has wonderful things in store for us!
Hi, my name is Karen Richmond. Many of you know me already as I have had 3 children graduate from St. Patrick and move on to West Catholic, and I currently have 4 children in St. Patrick School now. I spent 16 years myself in Catholic schools in Ohio, and I feel very strongly about the benefits and importance of a Catholic education!
I enjoy working with kids and helping them make progress toward a strong reading and math foundation. I am looking forward to assisting students at St. Patrick next year in this capacity. In my free time, I enjoy watching my children’s sporting events and activities, reading, and taking walks.
I am excited to be a part of the St. Patrick staff next year!
