Project Night Lights
Put on your warm winter gear, grab a flashlight, and join the community bringing "light" to the patients at Helen DeVos Children's Hospital.
The second Wednesday of the month, police cruisers, fire trucks, ambulances, family and friends, gather in front of the hospital flashing their lights to lift patients' spirits. The hospital sign and the children "blink" back. The event runs from 8:30-9:00 PM. The best location for gathering is 2635 Michigan--but any spot around the hospital is visible to the children. The hospital prefers parking in the neighborhoods around the hospital (which is free after 6 PM)--not in the visitor lots. We hope to see you there!

Season of Service: November Color Days, Prayer, Fundraising & Collections
Season of Service is a program sponsored by the school student service group, St.ar Works, led by middleschoolers. Opportunities are sponsored that St. Patrick School families may encounter everyday in our school. We hope that you will find something that will inspire you. As the event dates approach, watch for information in the Shamrock. And finally we ask for your prayers, knowing that the greatest action of all is to offer our needs to God. All's Well Wednesdays Fundraiser - Wednesday Snacks, through December 19
Orders and Payment due no later than Monday of each week - or order and pay all at once. This fundraiser also benefits the Samuel Omogo Foundation and clean water for the people of Nigeria. All treats are $1 each. See order form.

If you have not already signed up for volunteer activities, please click on the sign-up link above and add your help to the list!
Each family, as agreed to when registering, is required to assist with community service/fundraising activities for our school. This list includes a variety of activities that are needed for our school to continue to support current programs, fulfill its mission, and remain viable. Families with children in grades K- 8 are required to sign up for 2 events. Preschool and DK families are required to sign up for 1 event.
If you have a skill or interest you would like to share instead of something listed, please give the school office a call. We welcome your ideas and interests.
Events are "works in progress" and any changes to this list will be communicated as quickly as possible. Activities are available on a first come, first served basis. More specific information about the events will be provided by the Coordinator as the date approaches. Thank you!

New! 529 Tuition Savings Accounts for K-12
A tool for saving for college has been expanded to elementary and secondary education.
Through 529 plans, investments grow free of federal taxes, and withdrawals are free of federal taxes when spent on qualified education expenses for elementary, secondary or higher education. Parents, grandparents, godparents, aunts, uncles and anyone interested in helping provide for a child’s education may contribute.
Lunch Duty Schedule
Each family assists with lunch supervision during the school year, according to an alphabetical schedule. The lunch duty schedule is printed each week in the Shamrock, several weeks in advance. Please arrive at 11:15 to sign in at the school office; lunch goes until 12:35. K-2nd: 11:20-12:05;
6-8th: 11:30-12:00 (Lunch in classrooms); 3-5th: 11:50-12:35.
If you are unable to do lunch duty during your week, you may arrange for a sub. Subs are contacted and reimbursed directly by you at a rate of $8/day. If you would like to be a sub, contact the school office - more are always needed! You may also try switching weeks or days with other families, instead of paying a sub, to make it work for your schedule.

Saint Patrick School's uniform provider is Flynn O'Hara - PARENT PORTAL . You are not required to buy from the provider. However, anything listed on the site is part of our dress code in case you need a visual reference. In addition, the company will embroider our school logo for any items purchased. Friday School Rosary
The school students gather in the church every Friday afternoon that school is in session to pray the Rosary (except during Lent when we pray the Stations), at 2:35PM. All are welcome to join us in this devotion to the Blessed Mother.
First Friday Adoration
Exposition of the Blessed Sacrament follows 9AM Mass until 4PM on every First Friday of the month. Adorers are need for one-hour time slots and each hour requires at least 2 adorers. To schedule your visitation hour please call Beth Zambon at 874-7572.
