The deadline for the Bishop’s scholarship is November 15th. The application deadline has been moved up in order to provide more timely and accurate information to families enrolling next spring for the 2016-17 school year. Completing this online application is the first step in the financial aid process from the Diocese.
According to our Superintendent, Mr. David Faber, “There will be significant new dollars available for next school year for tuition assistance through the Bishop’s scholarship fund. The increase will be significant from the previous annual distribution of $240,000 to nearly $1,000,000. These dollars are not intended to replace the dollars currently being given out at the parish/school level, but rather to increase the amount to families whose Private School Aid Service (PSAS) assessment indicates that they have additional need (to increase retention) or to offer to new families (to increase new enrollment).”
If you intend to request tuition assistance through St. Patrick’s or your home parish, please apply for the PSAS first. We will be able to use this information to determine any additional assistance needed.
Please apply online before the deadline, November 15th, to be considered for financial assistance: http://www.psas.
Please note that applicants to be considered from the Diocese must be parishioners at a Catholic Parish with students currently in, or entering, full time academic programs.
